Introducing a Change Management Framework to a Multinational Financial Institution

high-risk regulatory requirement identified via the change toolkit

Our client needed a simplistic change toolkit to elevate the employee experience during a large, multi-national regulatory programme. The Change Toolkit allowed local teams to utilise a simplified, accessible collection of change tools, personalised for local cultures and ways of working.

Our client, a multinational financial institution, had a limited change management function. Due to the complexity of delivering across multiple countries, the client required an effective, easy-to-follow, personalised change framework.

Additionally, the assigned Business Readiness Lead had not operated in a programme of this scale, necessitating a clear Business Readiness framework. The client’s culture mandated that the framework could not be ‘pushed’ to the countries but had to be collaboratively built and integrated.

Recognising the cultural and maturity differences across the countries, we developed a change management and business readiness toolkit. The kit was co-developed with representatives from various regions, who reviewed templates and agreed on a personalised approach.

Through listening forums, geographically dispersed participants co-designed specific collateral. Training was provided to enable the teams to roll out the change tools locally. A particular highlight was the development of impact assessment workshops. These workshops, conducted individually with each country, led to the early identification of a high-risk regulatory requirement.

We received positive feedback from stakeholders, with a Regional Executive commending the programme for its engagement across the business.

The toolkit has been successfully transferred to client ownership, with an internal owner ensuring its continued use and adaptation.
